Infinitri Half Triathlon Peñíscola will be PTO world ranking scoring event

 

 

The event will distribute a € 10,000 prize purse among the best classified

The 10th Anniversary of the Infinitri Sports Half-distance triathlon has been held since 2013 in Peñíscola, after opening registrations on October 5th and being already at 80% capacity, it has just announced that it will become one of the Half-distance triathlon in Spain belonging to the world ranking of the Professional Triathletes Organization. This organization, more commonly known as the PTO, seeks to showcase the passion, talents, determination, struggles and achievements of the dedicated professionals who strive to realise the highest levels of the sport and inspire all those who participate in triathlon, from the seasoned age grouper to the newbie, values ​​totally in tune with the Castellón race. In this way, and after being national ranking scoring event in 2021, the race takes a further step forward by becoming world ranking scoring and thus becoming one of the most important half-distance triathlons in Europe.

It becomes one of the Spanish triathlons with the highest prize purse.

In this leap towards attracting the greatest number of professional triathletes, the organization will have € 10,000 prize purse, distributed equally between women and men. In addition, the PTO world ranking provides a purse of $ 2,000,000 at the end of the year for the best classified, thus making the event an international benchmark. Infinitri Half Peñíscola thus becomes one of the Spanish events with the highest awards, and continues with its line of work for this 10th anniversary, where it has collected all the experience of these years, in addition to all the organizational evolution that has meant adapting to the Covid protocols, and prepares for May 1st, 2022 an edition full of surprises, with a focus on internationalization, the promotion of pro/elite triathletes, sustainability and the promotion of women’s sport. To achieve all these objectives, it has the support of the Peñíscola City Council, the Castellón Provincial Council, the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as the support of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation.

Registrations at 80% capacity, near to closing.

With just a few weeks since registrations opened in early October, the event already has 80% of the slots covered, approaching 1,000 registered and with the expectations of closing registrations in the coming days.
